Make being Republican "cool" and "progressive"

A couple of thoughts:
First of all, we do NOT want the Republican party to be associated with "progressive" any more than we would want it to be associated with "collective" or "socialist".
Second, we should re-introduce the idea of responsible or "adult" vs. irresponsible or "juvenile".

The way this site was handled, and the silly vague 10-point program they came up with is FAR from cool and progressive. In fact, it's the exact opposite. It's uncool and caters to those stuck in the 40's and 50's.

It's called marketing. Reality follows perception. Some easy steps to make it cool for the younger generation to be republican: We could create republican video games. Or we could find Republican rappers and sponsor mall tours over the next 4 years. We could start a cool Republican clothing line and get Macy's & WalMart to carry it (you get discounts with your GOP card that we could create)

social conservatism is about love of family, of country, of civility. Its not angry.
Nothing is as angry, bitter, hateful and divisive as the PC left. Being a "south park" conservative is hipper than being a PC leftist, for sure. Opposing socialism is COOL, because freedom is for people who love life.

I don't think it is possible to be "cool" and socially conservative. Cool is about fun and happiness and snorting lines off of your friends' genitalia. That could go with fiscal responsibility, because if you manage your money you can afford more fun. But not with angry social conservatism.

Conservative and progressive are mutually exclusive... You can not be both without abandoning the fundamental principals on which Conversativism was founded.
Ok, here's one to sart being progressive: Support same-sex marriage and support the right for a woman to be an adult and choose for themselves what they should do with their body. Can you see republicans doing that? Nope? Didn't think so.

That's HILARIOUS! You want to be thought of as conservative AND progressive. Just take two opposites and say you are both. Then everyone will believe you and you'll win. Lying works!
