Close the Primaries to Republicans ONLY

Let's face it, the MSM, Demo☭rats, and Independents helped choose our candidate. We have to stop letting them in. If those people want to support our candidates, let them do so in the general election, when they can explain WHY they should vote for us.

This needs to be accomplished, and can be accomplished in every state. Different states have different rules, but mainly the state parties and elected representatives have the final say. Elected R's and Parties both should want to do this. It makes the parties much more important, stronger, and encourages participation at the local level. The Republican Party needs to be a civic institution again.

By questioning how we do this, it seemed you didn't understand that you register party when you register to vote. I thought you might have been a younger person introduced this year to politics.

As far as keeping democrats from registering republican, no, there is no way to prevent that, but it only seems good to have them register Rep.! Something is making them do it, like "inspires faith!"

If our candidate inspires faith in you and you register as a Republican, then you can vote in the primary.
If you are registered as a Democrat because that group inspired more faith in you, then you cannot, but we look forward to seeing you in the generals if your candidate doesn't make it through the spendfest primaries!

You asked how we could prevent it, and at registration you choose party

  4. fricker-
I've been voting for 13 years in 3 different states. I've registered for different parties throughout the 13 years, depending on which party had the candidates in their primary I had the most faith in. How do you plan to exclude me from registering Republican in the future?

Aaaaand, the NATIONAL party has ABSOLUTELY NO INFLUENCE on how the states do the primary, right?
Um, remember Florida and Michigan with Obama and Hitl- er, I mean, Clinton?
They essentially didn't count them because they voted EARLY.
    .
Meaning: The national party CONTROLS EVERY STATE.
    .
Why and how do you think we got the primaries to start with?

  7. I'm not really understanding how you accomplish this. Ignoring the fact that each state does it differently, is there a blood test you can take to prove you are a Republican?

  8. Hey genius, it's not up to the party whether the primaries are open or closed. It's up to state law.

  9. THIS IS CHANGE I CAN BELIEVE IN

  10. Bearing in mind that it was the Republicans in Texas and Pa who tried to swing the Democrat vote to Clinton, I don't think you can claim victimization on that one.

  12. I can not think of one of the Main Stream Republicans I would have supported, as the same old crap was their platform.

The Repub platform is win the war on terror. We are going to lose as we are going to be broke and no one will lend us money as W got us all to go out and shop in 2001 as opposed to saving to pay for the war.

I am sorry but the corporatist agenda must go.

  13. Isn't it time that we voted based on PRINCIPLES and not what party someone belongs to? Voting record should be observed closely. There should no longer be parties but people who believe in a way of running the Government. If you believe in their method then you vote for that person. You shouldn't vote based of if there's an R or D next to a persons name on the ballot.

  18. Trucknutz/Palin 2012

  19. You have it backwards. Republicans were the ones voting in Dem primaries for Clinton. The few states with open primaries meant that members from both sides had an equal say in both races. McCain was your candidate before Dem primaries were half over -- then Republicans jumped to the other side and played their game.

  20. Vote Palin/Truck Nutz 2012!!!
