The next RNC Chairman should...

Re-embrace Conservatism

We need to rediscover the conservatism that made us win landslide elections in 1980, 1984, and 1994 if we are to ever take the mantle of leadership again.

When we ran as conservatives, we won huge.

Conservatism is alive and well. If you're not sure, just look at same-sex marriage being banned in California along with two "green" initiatves going down to defeat.

Just look at Nebraska for eliminating race-based and gender-based preferences.

Just look at Missouri for making English the official language of government.

When conservatism is on the ballot. It wins!

The word "conservative" is getting a bad rap. Conservative - derives from the the conserve; to keep things the way they are. Unfortunately, that's impractical way of living and especially thinking in a forever changing, progressive world. To keep looking backwards, is to never achieve. However, this isn't a bone of contention for the Republicans. This is a fight between the super rich and those who think they are, republicans. The most important thing the Republican and conservatives need to do is be honest. Stop with all the spin and half truths. Most people know a lie when they hear one. Number Two: Stop inaccurate assumptions about groups of people. Most repubs and conservative don't venture too far out from their base, thus creating false assumptions about everybody outside their circle. Number Three: Religion is out. The problems we all face has no boundaries and nobody is perfect. Because at the end of it won't be the voter you'll have to answer to. Number Four: Stop yelling less government in the name of freedom. If you have never been enslaved or locked up, then you have always been free. Less government -- be careful what you ask for. How about paying for your roads to pave, having a utility system, fire departments, schools, the justice system, etc., yourself, then? Yep, right out your pocket and not via taxes. You couldn't afford it. That's government spending, not socialism. Now, as long and as much as I pay in taxes, I want somebody working in my interest 24/7! When I'm in need, then I'm entitled -- I paid for it.

"Conservative" is not a good thing in the way the Republicans claim it to be. We are all conservative on some level and that's fine. But when it means disregarding others interest because you either don't want to understand or you don't like who is saying it, is ignorant and it has to stop. The "my way or the highway" days are over and Republicans and conservative alike should have seen this coming.

I'm gonna have to half-way agree with fricker here, except for his retaliation attempt at our inebriated gaol oriented... Don't stoop down to his level of intelligence (A.K.A. pond scum) gaol oriented- Go away already, no one here cares what you have to say. You're not even annoying us, you're just embarrassing yourself and making yourself look like an extremist idiot... And there is DEFINATELY a bias in the MSM lol anyone who doesn't see that is blind.

Please shut up. I am making love to your wife while you troll, and it is distracting her. Your voice keeps prompting her to fake an orgasm, interrupting the multple real ones I am giving her.
She also says that the kiddie porn you are pleasuring yourself to may actually contribute to your flacid/preejaculation issue. I just laughed and laughed...

fricker, are you an engineer? the only people I know who would spend the time absorbing all of the information that you seem to and assembling it all into the elaborate collection of opinions you have yet remain capable of so astonishingly little insight as you are are engineers. It's just kind of a pattern I've noticed.

...the liberal MSM see the world EXACTLY THE SAME WAY YOU DO. Therefore, they are just right, not biased. If you could see that you were foundationally wrong in your ideas and presumptions, it would open your eyes to their bias.
        .
As far as "lapel pins" go, I assume you are speaking of American Flag pins? Yes, I admit to wanting my American reporters effing rooting for America in a war!!!!

...No, instead of uncovering the motives and tactics of the Palistineans, they IMAGINED what IF the class was filled with kids. "There is room for about 20 desks in here," the "reporter" speculated as fact, "the damage could have been terrible." he 'reported.' No bias?
I could give you examples of this every day, but why bother? You shut your mind off long ago to the possibility, because they...

...Whatever doesn't fit their template (progressive secularism) doesn't get the treatment it should or isn't discussed.
Let me give you an example. Yesterday, the MSM talked about a missile from Israel that hit an empty school in Palestine. Now, instead of discussing how Palistineans PURPOSEFULLY place rocket launchers in schools and hospitals to attract collateral damage for propoganda purposes,

Wha... Huh? Where the hell do you live? You don't watch TV?
OK, for the short bussers in the class...
Did you happen to note that even SNL knows that Barney Frank and Pelosi are almost directly responsible for the housing crisis, but there isn't a single peep in the MSM about it? This is because they media is a product of University liberalism, they come out with a template...

If you think the media gives democrats a free pass then maybe you've accidentally tuned to the BBC or Univision because here in america democrat can't step outside without a lapel pin without being lambasted in the press.

Media is made up of persons and isn't a single organism capable of thinking one way about anything.

Negative ads work. It's just that the Dems get an A+ for content and a free pass from the msm. Repubs neg ads are always wrong and mean, acc to same sources.
As far as your comment on showmanship trumping ideology, if that were true, then we could have a president who was a do nothing in congress, hid behind "present" votes, hung out with an unrepentant terrorist... waitaminute...

What got you the landslide victory in the 80s was sheer terror from the cold war combined with Reagan's acting ability. You'd be surprised how much showmanship trumps ideology in american elctions. Actually you wouldn't as the republican parties negative ad fetish is well documented.

Moderates have nearly destroyed our standard of living and run all of our jobs out of country for what they call fair trade. Is it really fair? I believe conservative government should protect us from imported goods that destroy our economic base. If they double the cost of our product there, shouldn't we at least match that on their products here? Seems like they are just marching to Wall St....

You're not talking "conservative," you're talking fascist.

"Conservative" is LESS government and MORE personal freedom.
