@ sarcastrophe: Abortion should be off the table on the federal level. It is a state/local issue. Using my tax dollars to support it is unconstitutional and immoral. You support the causes & charities you choose, I can choose for myself & my own money. I don't need the government to decide for me. Same with embryonic stem cell research - should be privately funded. Govt should BUTT OUT!

Libertarians have their own party -- don't try and co-opt their ideas just because yours are as old as dirt and don't work anymore. Be a real "maverick," align yourself with libertarians if that's your ideology. It's pathetic to think they would want to align with the GOP just to make Republicans stronger!

Even though my views on marriage mimic the Christian view, I can't demand that belief out of everyone. "Judge not lest ye be judged." and "Love one another" and "all are created equal in the eyes of the Lord" is my view of Christianity.
The more I thought about this issue (left prop 8 blank) the more I realized that the country shouldn't be in the marriage business.

The Republican Party doesn't have to "condone" homosexuality...the Democratic Party doesn't "condone" homosexuality either..it doesn't "condone" heterosexuality either. However..when dealing with gay people, the government should treat them the same as straight people...that includes government marriage policy.
