support Marijuana legalization/decriminalization
Support HR 5843 to remove federal penalties for those in possession of a small amount (<100 grams). This is a small step in the direction of legalizing, then regulating the taxation and sale of, marijuana. Most of the dangerous effects of marijuana come from the black market involved in its sale. Eliminate the market, eliminate the crime.
This is an issue supported by scores of younger, college aged voters. Champion this issue and win young votes.

Legalize marijuana and all drugs. Take the profitability from dope dealers and nobody will push it. Make dealers work for a living. Only the people who are self destructive will seek to destroy themselves like with guns, liquor and even cars. Prohibition proved that to be correct when they legalized liquor.

True Republic I feel bad for you. Your brother died a sad and unfortunate death. But you are really so greedy to use this death as a reason to sacrifice freedom? You want to feel safe so you take away the rights of others? I mean, maybe there are things to fear in today's world, but marijuana smokers should not be one of them.. The real culprit here is ignorance, for weed alone did no harm.

If that is the case then we should legalize burglary, manslaughter and murder. Not to mention child abuse etc. I suggest you get your head out of your ass and realize the negative affects as proven again and again by the entire non pot head medical community and any one with any common sense at all.

Marijuana is horribly de-motivating, the last thing we need to add to the mix of
"depressants" (i.e., video games, porn, etc.) that are weighing American society down. Yes, it is not as damaging, technically, as heroin and Oxycontin, but it is still bad for us. Playboy is not as bad as Hustler, but why have either around the home? -

No Marijuana legalization. My 28 year old brother was killed by a hit and run driver who had 19 DWI's and was driving around with a suspended license, under the influence of alochol and weed. This guy supported smoking weed in the privacy of his own home, but obviously no one can guarantee that these people will remain in their homes. He got 6 months in a hospital, and my brother is dead!
