  1. People have to WANT it, so first there must be a messenger who can transcend the media. How can we win over an electorate who do not understand supply & demand & other basics?

Fiscal Conservatism is a farce. It has never existed. Just look at me. I had a much higher tax rate than President Obama, and I spent like a drunken sailor in a whore house. Speaking of whore houses, you people should have seen this one whore I was with back in 1943 right before I promoted to Captain. She had an ass to die for, but I digress form my point. Stop lying to yourselves, we are no different than Democrats, except we hate brown people, black people, and those nasty little faggots. So quit your ... more

  4. Yes, Western Europe is a disaster area! This "socialism does not work" refrain is depressing because it's so transparently just a veneer to disguise the insipid intellects of unremarkable wannabe politicos who get off on thinking of themselves as hard-nosed pragmatists. Seriously, does your analysis go beyond "Where is the Soviet Union today?" It's idiotic to make a single country the avatar of an idea, no less a broad range of ideas. If we look at all states that are capitalist, w... more

MY favorite kind of socialism is the one where the people are in the process of taking back over, when the "leaders" realize they are all about to be killed, dragged through the streets, and hung in the town square like Mussolini... When they realize they screwed up, and that, hmmmm, maybe socialism doesn't work and isn't such a good idea. Go to Europe and see how THEIR little "experiment in socialism" is working out for 'em. And then stay there, because we don't want/need you here.

  6. Guys, let's have a poll in this thread. What is your favorite kind of socialism?
    A)Utopian B)Marxism-Leninism C) Bakuninism D) Anarcho-Syndicalism E) Maoism/Third-Worldism F) Stalinism G) Revisionist post Stalin Soviet crap H)Third Way/Social Democracy I.)Khmer Rouge murderfest-ism J)Islamic/Christian Socialism K)other

as far as it resembling the Clinton admin, that is ONLY because of his overreaching on SOCIAL ISSUES that we got the Republican Revolution in '94 when Newt Gingrich made Clinton his little BITCH and kept his socialist hands off of the budget!
I AGREE with you on the other Rino's, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. (and Dole McCain too for that matter)! They all must've took socialism school together!

Thank you, this is one of the few ideas that's hit the nail on the head. Sadly, this describe Clinton's administration more than any Republican administration in five decades. Fiscal conservatives don't care about your party affiliation, and it's social extremism like religious activism and this fixation on homophobia that we're tired of. It's a distraction from the real issues of America.

Constitutional rights are a must have.

  11. I think the role of the federal government has reversed itself; it used to protect american manufacturers against foreign countries who use unfair trade tactics. Now, we trade wtih everyone we can (Why is China better than Cuba, btw?) regardless of their dirty tricks. Now, you can't FIND made in America! It's all China. Meanwhile, the Feds are investigating and harrassing American businesses!!

I agree. Please also see my idea about the Separation of Marriage and State. It is a little more specific but also inline with the limited government idea that you have articulated here.

  15. Screw all you ass holes and screw this site. This isn't about rebuilding the republican party. This is about gaining more support for Libertarians. You guys have a lousy Million on the voting records. Republicans believe in a STRONG MILITARY and libertarians don't. Republicans believe in God and as a matter of fact so do many molecular biologists. Intelligent design folks. Get your own party.

  18. RE: the above list and numbers...

Lofty ideals and "specifics" are all well and good, but unless you've got a solid chrome pair of TRUCK NUTZ with which to implement them...

You see where I am headed with this one.

Focus, people! Me MUST distill our message and reach out to REAL America.

Truck Nutz and Crystal Pepsi (TM) for all true-blue, red-blooded Americans!

    TRUCK NUTZ!

  19. All in all this is a good one. However defining foreign policy (International Relations, IR) as realism is short sighted. Realism is a specific IR theory that focuses on the state as a unitary actor, that means busisness, NGOs, democracy, do not matter in foreign relations. It is short sighted and died with the cold war. We need a new conservative and viable approach, focused on freedom.

In our Republic's youth, presidential candidates openly debated central banking, and Andrew Jackson even won election as a "hard-money" advocate. Today's economic crisis requires a similar return to sound monetary policy. Since we have a bailout bill that passed...and the detroit auto manufactors wants their share of the bailout...soon all will join this circle...how far do we go?
