I agree with the basic idea here. We need to embrace and encourage science everywhere and with everyone. Religion shouldn't be a problem, but it often is. I've had many difficult conversations with people of faith about science, I know it can be disheartening. I think you're one of the few "social conservatives" that may actually get the whole government thing. Most ones that I've heard from are actually liberals or clueless in govt policies.
