Become the Anti-War Party Again

The Republicans have always been voted in to end the wars. Eisenhower for the Korean War, Nixon for the Vietnam War. It is in our conservative roots but has lost its way with the Bush Administration. Instead of limiting government, we expanded government. In the foreign policy category, Republicans must be strong and advocate a large, well trained military and a strong defense. Instead of getting involved in other countries affairs, invading countries, and supplying weapons to nations and groups, why don't be promote peace? Instead of sending billions in foreign aid for militaries, why not send billions in foreign aid to educate their citizens and build schools? Bring home troops from our military bases in other countries and instead focus on defending OUR country, not others.

I think this is a great argument to have. I think I disagree, but I am also partial to protecting Israel. I am also a fan of fighting jihadists THERE not HERE.
Still, good discussion to have on what our role should be for the future.

war, built new department, cleaned up 10 blks in nyc, etc etc was costly. this 1st decade of the 21st century was amazing

foreign policy which includes medicine as a currency for peace is important....
