Republicans MUST abandon the fallacy that war is good for the economy. I have heard Bush himself make this preposterous claim and it is maddening.
No more "Me Too" Republicans. STAND FOR SOMETHING (other than war...)
Too many Republicans have the ridiculous notion that war is good for the economy. This party MUST abandon that fallacious notion FAST. We need to realize that endless war is an intense drag on our economy and hurts our defense capabilities. I think Paul people realize that much better than a lot of other Republicans.
Seriously, if the Republican Party wants its future to be bright, it will analyze the core of what Ron Paul has illustrated. This message is what brought about the Goldwater and Reagan Revolution before the Republican Party was co-opted by big government Neo-cons. We need to return to limited constitutional republican government.
Limited government individuals need to know the difference between promoting ethics ethically and promoting ethics at the point of the gun. Don't be dull in terms of understanding this.
The idea of legislating morality at the federal level is a losing proposition, not to mention an unconstitutional position. Republicans need to focus on CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLICANISM and get away from the control idea.
Just think about how alternative voices in the party have been treated. It is shameful.
The drug war HURTS the country and is unconstitutional. Legislation on this issue should be left to the states, as any constitutional republican should know.
