That being said, we also need to get back to basics and distinguish true conservative principles from both liberal-appeasing ideas and statist nonsense. Conservatism is: small-government, free market, individual liberty, and state's rights...PERIOD!!! As for social conservatism I would say that our party needs to be able to have people who may personally have diverse social views, but are united in the only true conservative social viewpoint: the Federal Government and the courts have no right to impose social edicts of any kind. Let the states, local governments, and individuals decide for themselves. That's it! In the words of a man who needs no introduction: " Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue." This should be our motto and mantra. Every parent should be able to send their kids (from about the age of 7 to 18) to a Boot Camp to teach them the RIGHT way of doing things. This can even become a school requirement if we can get local governments to support it. The bootcamps can happen in the summer or all year round, but it is important the kids live there are are totally immersed in Our Values during this time (no distractions). Therefore it is also important girls and boys go to different boot camps (no distractions).
